Privacy Policy for home automation
Effective date: May 25, 2026
home automation is a private home energy automation application used by the application owner. It is not a public consumer service.
Information used
The application may access and process the following information when authorized by the owner:
- Google Nest Device Access data, including thermostat device status, temperature, humidity, HVAC mode, and related device metadata.
- Tesla energy and vehicle charging status used for home solar and battery optimization.
- Weather and energy history needed to explain and improve automation decisions.
How information is used
Data is used only to display the private dashboard, evaluate home energy state, and operate or improve the owner’s home automation controller.
Sharing
Data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for advertising or marketing. Data is only processed by infrastructure controlled by the application owner or by the upstream services explicitly authorized by the owner.
Storage and security
Operational data may be stored in the owner’s private infrastructure for history, diagnostics, and automation improvement. The private dashboard requires authentication. OAuth tokens and service credentials are stored as secrets and are not exposed on public pages.
Retention and deletion
Google Nest Device Access data is retained only as long as needed for the private dashboard, diagnostics, and home automation improvement. The owner can delete stored operational history and revoke Google access at any time. When Google access is revoked, Nest data collection stops until the app is reconnected.
User control
The owner can revoke Google access at any time from the Google Account permissions page. Revoking access disables Nest data collection until the app is reconnected.
Contact
For questions about this private application, contact the application owner through the support email configured on the Google OAuth consent screen.
